Airtel shoots to the top with the worst complaints score

Today’s business press is full of stories on Bharti Airtel topping the charts on subscriber complaints.  Apparently the maximum number of complaints on billing and tariff related issues pertain to Airtel.

The story is there in the Business Standard online and in print. The story is there in the Economic Times here. Meanwhile, BusinessLine has a story on how many customers have used Mobile Number Portability to shift to a more responsive service provider. Answer: 3.8 million

My own post yesterday on the vague and confusing IVRS system used by Bharti Airtel is here. It is a shame that a company of this size cannot get someone to take a call; Moreover, most of us would not want to call, if Airtel explained things step-by-step on a website.  A new logo and great theme music may be good for ads, but they cannot retain customers.
